Nu metal?? Had ik de jongens niet live aan het werk gezien, ik kieperde het ding gewoon de vuilbak in! Ha, just kidding, ik was nooit een hater, maar ook geen fan: heel die periode en al die bands lieten me eerlijk gezegd koud. Maar ik zag dit Brusselse drietal dus onlang live en ze deden dat verdikke goed, vooral héél erg energiek: straffe riffs, drums als een spervuur (hier opgenomen door Jonas Sanders van Blackout Studio trouwens) en een frontman die sterk is in harsh vocals en performen! De AB Club stond in vuur en vlam, waarna oude rotten Killthelogo de voorzet maar binnen hoefden te trappen. Answer pakt perfect de live energie die ik mocht beleven. Het nummer dendert als een trein voorbij, blijft heel dansbaar en heeft natuurlijk enkele momenten van 'kalmte voor de storm', momenten waarna je hevig op en neer gaat jumpen, een moshpit vormen of zelfs een wall of death opzetten. Dikke fun dus, al blijft ik zelf lekker van aan de zijlijn toekijken.

"We were in Anthony's basement when he played Answer's main riff for the first time: we
immediately started jumping around! How could we not? So much energy's going on in this
song! Lyrically too: it's a call for answers to our leaders. We've been told to get an education and to work twice as much as the next one to get a good life, when in the end life's just as sh*tty as the people in power want it to be: "So where is it now?", that life I've been promised. "Time to answer to your crimes!"

Through The Void is a Belgian nu metal act. Their songs are made with raw energy,
designed for live performance and better experienced in the pit.
Their on-stage attitude pushed them forward to play gigs with Skindred, Kadinja and
killthelogo.
Our lyrics reflect what’s surrounding us, the everyday uneasiness coming from the abyss
between what’s good and what the world is going through. Yet, beyond these
statements, they always carry the hope and strength we need to go through this void.
We would describe ourselves as influenced by: Linkin Park, Slipknot and the good
bad-ass energy of While She Sleeps.
We aim to bring back the good 90’s music with a modern touch to it.
