The Amity Affliction bracht vorig jaar hun album Everyone Loves You... Once You Leave Them uit. Hun eerste single sindsdien, Like Love, kwam vandaag uit. We kennen The Amity Affliction als een metalcore groep die inspiratie put uit hun eigen leven en ervaringen. Dat is ook nu niet anders. Like Love werd geschreven door Joel (zanger) en gaat over hun vriend SK die helaas overleed. Het liedje op zich is opnieuw een typische TAA vibe. Het lijkt erop dat de band weinig weet te vernieuwen, maar vast blijft houden aan wat ze altijd doen. En dat is daarom niet slecht want we genieten er nog steeds van natuurlijk.

Since emerging in 2008 on the debut "Severed Ties", The Amity Affliction have served up two ARIA gold-certified albums, "Youngbloods" [2010] and "Chasing Ghosts" [2012], and earned a platinum certification from ARIA for the seminal "Let the Ocean Take Me" [2014]. "This Could Be Heartbreak" [2016] marked the band's second consecutive Top 30 debut on the Billboard Top 200 and went gold in Australia, while "Misery" [2018] elevated them to new critical heights and most recently "Everyone Loves You...One You Leave Them" [2020] showed the band returning to their heavier side and saw the group's total stream tally surpass 460 million and counting.
