Nog een albumrelease waar ik naar uitkijk is die van Sylvaine. Na de singles Nowhere, Still Somewhere en Mono No Aware, is het nu de beurt aan Nova. De derde single van dat aankomende album en tevens ook de titeltrack.
Compleet anders dan de twee voorgangers. Dit nummer is pure rust. Met engelenzang in slaap gewiegd worden. Misschien zou je halverwege deze song een keerpunt verwachten. Maar dat komt er niet en dat is ook helemaal niet nodig. Rust ervaren. Er zachtjes inrollen. Fragiele zachtheid die sterk contrasteert met een nummer als Mono No Aware.
Je moet eens beide nummers na elkaar beluisteren (te beginnen met Nova) en je zal meteen begrijpen wat ik bedoel.
Een album die een verhaal zal vertellen. Een verhaal die ik heel graag wil horen.
Nova verschijnt op 4 maart 2022 via Season Of Mist.
