Wanneer een straffe Belgische of Nederlandse band ons contacteert met nieuw materiaal, dan doen we er iets mee. Zelf heb ik weinig voelen met metalcore/hardcore dus schoof ik die warme petatte graag door naar échte kenners binnen ons team, maar die bleken nog in zomerslaap of moesten er niet van. Tja, shit happens, dus pak ik het maar zelf aan zonder echt goed te weten wat ik moet zeggen. Klinkt vet, heeft voldoende power en energie en naar eigen zeggen een pak meer melodie dan hun eerder werk. Wanneer in de slotminuut het tempo even zakt en de unclean vocals nog wat dieper gaan en er met een bak groove gegooid wordt, dàn voel ik het helemaal. Het klopt alvast en dus houden we dit maar best in de gaten.
Chronicles of a Divided Species’. Pt.1 verschijnt eind dit jaar, Pt. 2 komt er in 2023 aan.

A first EP called 'tenacity' was released halfway 2015.
Getting more support within the Belgian scene, 2016 brings a new release for the band. No compromise were made and the band recorded 5 brutal songs for the EP called ‘Retaliate – the Answer’.
2019 was the year Tijs joined the band on 2nd guitar and became a year filled with many great shows. Fueled with inspiration, 2020 was going to be the year in which ROYAL JAKE was going to record their first full length. And then there was the pandemic. Still there was some great news at the end of 2020 when they joined the FORCE shows&Bookings roster. And the journey continues… Towards the end of 2022 ‘Chronicles of a Divided Species - pt.1’ will be released with the first single ‘Defined’ to drop on september the 1st.
