Als die van Linkin Park het mogen, dan wij ook moeten die van Novelists misschien wel gedacht hebben. Na jarenlang gewerkt te hebben met mannelijke vocalisten kozen de fransozen eind 2023 de mooie Camille Contreras als frontvrouw. Live heeft deze dame al dik bewezen dat haar strot past voor hun metalcoregeweld. In de nieuwe songs brengt ze een hoog emo-gehalte mee, ook visueel met dat jurkje en die pruik. Fans van het eerste uur zullen dat misschien minder leuk vinden maar ons zal dat worst wezen. Ik hou wel van Novelists anno 2025. Say My Name is de voorloper uit het nieuwe album CODA dat op 16 mei verschijnt op het nieuwe (en deels van hun) label ACKOR music.
