Van een knappe intro gesproken: het (telefoon?)gesprek heeft exact de juiste lengte en toon om de spanning op te bouwen en dan krijg je een ferme oplawaai, eentje recht onder je kinlade, BAM! Gezien er diverse invloeden te horen zijn, krijgen de Finnen zoiets als melodic death/doom op hun voorhoofd gestempeld. De goede luisteraar hoort naast deze elementen ook invloeden uit sludge en post metal. Geen amalgaam aan stijlen bij elkaar gegooid, wel een zorgvuldig gemaakte song ondersteund door een zéér knappe video. Normaalgezien ga ik snel aan muziek met het label 'melodic death' voorbij - jaja, een mens moet een beetje selecteren hé - maar deze keer ben ik blij dat ik er de tijd voor heb genomen. Toegegeven, dat 'doom' element hielp wel.
