Hoewel het nieuwe nummer van Lions at the Gate al een paar dagen uit is, is het er één die het verdiend om hier nog benoemd te worden. Lions at the Gate is het nieuwe alternative metal project met ex-Ill Niño leden Cristian Machado (vocals), Ahrue Luster (gitaar) en Diego Verduzco (gitaar) en wordt verder aangevuld met bassist Stephen Brewer (ex-Westfield Massacre) en drummer Fern Lemus (ex-Silence the Messenger). Not Even Human is de eerste single van de band en is precies wat je wilt horen van een band met bovenstaande bandleden. Alternatieve metal, met de herkenbare stem van Cristian, catchy refreinen en het toffe gitaarwerk van Ahrue en Diego. Dit beloofd alvast veel voor het album!
Machado over de track: “I feel so blessed to be in Lions at the Gate. We’ve all been making albums for a long time but I think it was time for us to make something special and memorable again. This album is exactly that. Take away our musical history, take away our long hair, take away our personal feelings, just make believe we were never there. This Lions at the Gate album is amazing.
