Sounds | Jerry Cantrell, Brighten (live)

Jaja, hij kan het nog steeds. Of zoals iemand schreef op YouTube: "I'm so glad that Jerry still has his creativity, his skill, his soul, his voice, his passion, his health, and most importantly, his hair!" Ook al gaat de man momenteel de country toer op, de Cantrell stempel is onmiskenbaar en dat is goed nieuws.

Brighten verscheen op 29 oktober 2021 in eigen beheer.

In late 2021, Alice In Chains singer-guitarist Jerry Cantrell played an intimate show at Los Angeles' Grammy Museum to celebrate the release of “Brighten”, his first solo album in 19 years. The sold-out appearance featured a six-song set, storytelling, and a Q&A hosted by Curb Your Enthusiasm's Jeff Garlin, and it was broadcasted as a ticketed digital event "An Evening With Jerry Cantrell".

The grunge icon offered up video of one of the night's highlights — his performance of "Brighten"'s title track and second single — on his official YouTube channel and available on streaming platforms HERE. The clip finds Cantrell backed by many of the musicians who appear on the LP, including score composer and producer Tyler Bates (300, John Wick), former Dillinger Escape Plan members Greg Puciato and Gil Sharone, as well as George Adrian, Vincent Jones and Michael Rozon.
