Mooie dark folk van deze mysterieuze 'entiteit'. R. houdt het allemaal zeer minimalistisch, waardoor het nummer uiteindelijk misschien wat monotoon overkomt en net iets te weinig raakt. De al te vrijblijvende zang heeft hier ook wel mee te maken. Voor wie van een deftige scheut melancholie houdt.

This year marks the tenth anniversary of Fields of Mildew, which feels surreal. In fact, I hadn’t planned on releasing much more than the first EP with this project, but somehow it naturally continued over the years. Whenever I return to Fields of Mildew, it feels like a homecoming. Like all previous releases, “IV” is an EP. I’ve always felt that EPs represent this project far better than full-length albums. These minimal, monochrome songs are best experienced in small doses, and I’d much rather leave both myself and the listeners wanting more than risk anyone feeling tired or bored.
