Ooit gestart als een soloproject van gitarist/zanger Richard Crowfoot, raakten steeds meer muzikanten erbij betrokken en evolueerde de sound van bluesrock naar erg donkere stoner rock met nog steeds bluesinvloeden en wat psychedelica erbij. Beds Of Coal doet me zelfs denken aan een Nick Cave die stoner rock zou spelen.
Drie full albums hebben ze ondertussen uit: Primitive Grind, Bovonic Empire en Picnic At Buffalo Rock.
