Je moet het maar doen, een track maken die zooo catchy is dat je hem al na tien seconden meeneuriet met een passie alsof je het al jaren kent.
Catchy tunes schrijven is sowieso de kracht van Blues Pills maar met Don't You Love It hebben ze zichzelf als het ware overtroffen. Een vrolijke baslijn, een funky gitaarrifje en de unieke stem van Elin Larsson, meer hebben ze niet nodig om je heupen aan het wiegen te krijgen. Speciaal voor Record Store Day 2024 (20 april) brengen ze dit nummer in een gelimiteerde oplage uit op een 12", samen met de titeltrack uit hun nieuwe album Birthday dat in augustus verschijnt.

It’s rare for Blues Pills to be so upbeat, “we have a lot of depressing lyrics, we have a lot of depressed sounding songs, but this is a song to dance to!” continues Elin.
“It’s a breakout for us to have such a positive song!” agrees Zack (guitarist).
Don’t You Love It was written at home in Elin’s living room, “We were feeling good, Blues Pills are in a good place, and we wrote the lyrics based on that feeling.”
Zack and Elin are both feeling positive about Blues Pills “I’m having fun” says Elin giggling. “It’s something that came with age” states Zack “We’ve been a band for a long time and with this album, and at this point, it’s firstly about having fun making music. In the earlier days there was a lot of pressure, now we’ve let all that go.”
