Voor het eerst in bijna acht jaar is er opnieuw een teken van leven van Black Country Communion. De heren Glenn Hughes, Joe Bonamassa, Jason Bonham en Derek Sherinian hebben tussen al hun solo albums en/of andere projecten eindelijk nog eens de tijd gevonden om hun agenda's op elkaar af te stemmen en hun ego's wat in te tomen. Het resultaat daarvan, het nieuwe album dat de logische titel BBC V meekrijgt komt er op 14 juni via Mascot Label Group.
Enlighten is na Stay Free en Red Sun de derde vooruitgeschoven single uit het album. En eerlijkheidshalve moet ik bekennen dat ik die 2 vorige nummers toch sterker en energievoller vond dan deze. Op zich steekt de song goed in elkaar, vooral die zachte, melodische pre-chorus is goed gevonden maar klinkt voor het overige nogal routineus.
Ik ben dus zeer benieuwd naar het volledige album.
