Wat is er eigenlijk mis met J-metalbands of K-metalbands etc.? De leden zijn gewoonlijk héél straffe muzikanten die qua showgehalte en productieniveau veel EU en V.S. bands ver achter zich laten. Ze schrijven ook veelal hun nummers zelf en/of hebben een sterk songwriterteam en de nummers zijn - ik ga nu niet over originaliteit neuten - niet van de minste als je van stevige, catchy metal houdt. Wat er dan 'mis' mee is? Twee zaken wat mij betreft: de kinderstemmetjes en de ronduit onnozele outfits. Wel, dat eerste hebben ze bij Band-Maid aangepakt: Saiki heeft een voor onze (Westerse) oren goed klinkende stem, vergelijkbaar met veel jongere zangeressen in rock/metalcore, zonder de screams dan.
