Een nieuwe Alter Bridge komt eraan en dat is iets waar wij ... ooit héél enthousiast over waren, zo ongever tot de release van Fortress (2013). Niet dat de mannen rond Kennedy en Tremonti daarna slechte albums afleverden, verre van, maar echt fris was het allemaal niet meer, laat staan verrassend.
Zo ook deze nieuwe single: riffs, ritmesectie, vocals, grooste melodieën, ... het zit allemaal wel snor. De titeltrack van het nieuwe album geeft echter aan dat het opnieuw een beetje 'been there, done that' zal zijn. Voer voor de nog steeds groeiende schare fans. Maar ik kan me vergissen natuurlijk, dus op naar een volgende single. Wedden dat het een powerballad van epische proporties wordt?

On this journey, 2004’s debut LP One Day Remains bowed in the Top 5 of the Billboard Top 200 and went gold. In 2007, Blackbird’s title track took flight on the wings of the “Greatest Guitar Solo of All Time,” as voted in Guitarist Magazine, while countless fans etched its lyrics and logo onto their bodies.
