Met nog slechts drie maanden te gaan, maakt de organisatie nog eens zeven nieuwe namen bekend. De ene keert terug, de andere staat er voor het eerst. Bovendien vertegenwoordigen deze bands nog eens zeven landen. De reis rond de wereld gaat verder.

What is there to say about Caspian that hasn’t already been said? These post-rock giants have been one of the most beloved and influential artists on the scene since their emergence in 2005 and their set in 2018 is still a fan-favourite! We’re immensely proud to present them to you once again on our stages! (Picture above is Caspian at dunk!festival 2015 by Davy De Pauw). After Jesu - Band graced our stages last year we knew we had to feature legendary Justin Broadrick in as many contexts as possible going forward. #Godflesh will be one of headliners and now we offer you Loud As Giants ; collaborative effort between Broadrick and the prolific, prodigious Belgian solo artist Dirk Serries. The drone-y and highly atmospheric nature of their guitar loops and beats project spans back to 2009 and this year’s dunk! will be one of the rare opportunities to see it in action! For the past decade, Portuguese sensations Indignu have been carefully carving out a space for themselves as one of the more elegant and cinematic bands on the post-rock scene. Dunk!records released their milestone 5th album 𝑎𝑑𝑒𝑢𝑠 last year - a testimony of how a gentle composition can still hit with full cathartic impact and we’re confident that their evocative stylings will forge a deep connection with audience members. dunk!records also just released their new album 𝐿𝑒𝑡𝑒𝑜 this past January and we can confidently say that this Spanish trio has greatly matured over the years without sacrificing any of the explosiveness that first drew us to them! Le Temps Du Loup ’s music is a perfect example of the importance of balance, of an ambitious conceptual aim that is paired with the chops necessary to execute it. 𝐿𝑒𝑡𝑒𝑜 and their set at #dnk23 will show you full proof of this! Experimental, challenging, unapologetic, and moving in equal parts, Mexico City’s Vyctoria are forever pursuing the boundaries of creative possibilities in the interest of toppling and expanding them! They have previously collaborated with Efrim Manuel Menuck on their 2017 album 𝐴ℎ𝑜𝑟𝑎 𝑣𝑒𝑜 𝑚𝑎𝑠 𝑐𝑙𝑎𝑟𝑎, and their most recent record / VAV / further engages the eye of the storm where volume, dissonance, and melody somehow make sense amidst the cacophony. [ B O L T ] are one of the longest-tenured bands on our roster and have released nine records to date. Their tenth, titled ( 05 ) will come out later this year on dunk!records and will bring once again the crushing, haunting, and unescapable sonicscapes this band is known, and celebrated, for. While not for the faint of heart - their music rewards the audience with an uncanny and unforgettable experience. Which is why we just keep bring them back! And now for something completely different... this local artist has a sound not often heard on the dunk! stages, but they possess a bewitching quality that convinced us we had to share them with you all!! While listening to their music you’ll find yourself reminiscing David Lynch's films while whistling to Nick Cave's songs while wearing rose-coloured dream pop/alt-rock lenses. We always love to host performers who weave unique spells on stage, and Himshe fits that profile admirably.
