𝗟𝘂𝗯𝗼𝗺𝘆𝗿 𝗠𝗲𝗹𝗻𝘆𝗸 This veteran Ukranian composer is something a bit different than we’re accustomed to at the festival, but his inclusion marks an opportunity to witness something akin to a force of nature. His fusion of melody and virtuosity is as beautiful as it is intense, and we count ourselves extremely lucky to have the opportunity to view such a striking marriage.

𝗜𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘂 𝗘𝗹 These Swedish ambient dream pop luminaries recently became an exciting new addition to the dunk!records family, releasing their stripped back and strikingly beautiful 2021 record Distance on our label. Meditative and moving, their music explores minimalism to uncover extraordinary melodic heights, creating for the listener a world that is expansive and alive. Don’t underestimate the softness of their delivery, because once you allow their music in you’ll find a uniquely profound experience near at hand.

𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝘀𝘁𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗼𝗰𝗲𝗮𝗻 2022 marks a decade and a half in the post-metal game for this Italian outfit, and their veteran savvy and maturity is on full display on their most recent record, 2020’s Del fuoco. Translating to “of fire,” it’s an apt descriptor, as the record indicates painstaking effort devoted to the construction of a landscape permeated with a sense of seething fury just under the surface. This is a band that recognizes the vital importance of patience as a key factor in the enduring resonance of post-metal, and we’re excited for them to bring their years of experience to the dunk! stage.

𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗱 If this name doesn’t sound familiar, don’t worry, it’s not just you; this young Belgian band reached out to us with their debut EP not long ago, and we enjoyed it so much that we knew immediately they needed to be at this year’s event. Bringing together the best elements of post-rock and post-hardcore, they feature snarling, antagonistic vocals that complement some seriously powerful riffs. We think these newcomers have hit upon quite an impressive fusion, and we’re certain you’ll feel the same.
