Net als de voorbije jaren palmt Darken the Moon het Cultuurcentrum in voor de inmiddels 17de editie van het doom metal festival.
De eerste namen zijn ondertussen bekend.
Total Death
These veterans, active since 1991!!, hail from Ecuador! Just last month they were bringing their Sacred Metal of Death to the renowned 70000tons of metal cruise, this September they will play along the banks of the Dijle river!
Arð
This Northumbrian (UK) doom metal band is the brainchild of Mark Deeks (of Winterfylleth fame). In January Mark was one of the many great musicians on stage at Ziele Klanken in Antwerp. This September we welcome the whole band in all its grandeur at our beautiful church venue.
Marche Funèbre
Last year the band released their 5th album 'After the Storm', and reviews were raving. On the live front many great gigs have been done so far in all corners of our continent. Making their annual appearance on Darken The Moon always a heartfelt homecoming.
High Parasite
Most notably on their gothic laden musick is the different vocalists bringing their own sound to the band, with Aaron Stainthorpe of My Dying Bride fame as the most outspoken one.
It's an honour to once again host one of the forefathers of our beloved doom death metal scene.
