The band from Liverpool Stone had their first headliner show out of UK last Sunday in a sold-out Orangerie at Botanique, even though they were meant to be playing at Rotonde until an amp problem made them switch rooms, which allowed for the crowd to use the extra space to go wild in several occasions. At 9pm sharp, Madonna’s “Hung up” song started to welcome Stone on stage, which was immediately followed by the first song “I got a feeling” that already made the crowd sing and dance. A small mosh pit was formed by the second song, “I let go”, although it didn’t last long. The band recently released their second EP punkadonk2, with songs like “Compulsive” that was introduced as being about the support system we all have on each other. The band was constantly engaging with the audience, making sure everyone was having a good time, and just half an hour later, they left the stage after playing “Waste”, although everyone was asking for more, which came in the form of the breakthough songs “Money” and the final ending with “Leave it out”, where the band was entirely comfortable and ready to unleash all their energy left.

The audience was first warmed up by the support and local band marcel, coming from Brussels and Arlon, who were not unknown in Botanique as they were already present in Les Nuits, and who displayed their best move on stage last Sunday. Some highlights of the night came with playing songs like Eurovision and a fair amount of autotune over the lead singer and frontman, although the great moves of the night came along with Intimité. The band was a good match for the headline of the night.
