Coming from New Jersey, this trio band was playing in the Rotonde last Friday night. They radiated a calm yet srong stage presence, that made it easy for a change to take pictures to, as they were not moving non-stop around the stage. Although the lightning was not great once again. The lead singer Marissa Paternoster’s showed her exceptional guitar skills combined with delicate soft vocals, cutting through the loud audience and her own guitar sound. I was just extremely surprised when she engaged with us in an incredible sweet and soft voice, and introduced a guy they met in Costa Rica and that was there to enjoy their concert, and not being the best ambassadors of their own city.
The night opened with a Belgian rock band, Goodbye Fortune Tellers, a trio from brussels led by a provocative yet really sexy singer and bass player, with an empowered voice and melodic vocals. Their powerful set was mixed up with more soft danceable songs, together with a fragile and event romantic song played in the middle of the set, that came to a close with a song that was their first single “City Lights” and “Take the Odds”.
