Gipsy Kings @ Ancienne Belgique
The Gipsy Kings filled up a sold-out Cirque Royal with their Duende and flamenco sounds, delivering an unforgettable performance. The iconic flamenco-fusion band, known for their infectious rhythms and soulful vocals, captivated the audience with classic hits like "Djobi Djoba (Cada dia yo te quiero mas)" that I was luckily able to capture, listen and dance, as after the three regular first songs that photographers are allowed to photograph, I was sadly escorted out of the venue. Still during the short part of the performance I could witness, their energy was contagious, and the interplay of passionate guitar work with lively percussion created an magic atmosphere. Arumbo, the guest artist, was a good warmup for the evening, blending traditional Gipsy music with modern influences. That project started in Brussels and so to that they dedicated their last song of their short performance.
