Eivør @ Ancienne Belgique
The talented Faroese singer-songwriter Eivør poured her soul into her third show of the tour, playing her new album just released recently in it’s entirety, beginning with the 4 songs of side A, featuring her song that translates as Pruple heart, hawling about the search for a crack where light could get trough leaving a heart in hope that one day it will reach the sun. She also performed Side B of the album with songs like Skycrapers. Her ability to blend folk, pop, and traditional Faroese sounds, together with her ethereal voice resonating beautifully in all corners of the hall was captivating the audience who was immediately dragged into her magical world since the first song. All magically embellished by the skilled band that accompanied her, enhancing the depth of her music, allowing each song to unfold like a story. The lighting during the show was also carefully calculated, enhancing the emotional weight of the music without overshadowing it. Eivør's connection with her fans was tangible, acknowledging them in several occasions, making the night feel more intimate. Guest artist Sylvaine delivered an impressive performance as well, providing a powerful contrast to Eivør's haunting melodies with her own blend of atmospheric metal and ethereal vocals.
