After a day that started with a twisted thumb, and thinking that I would miss the concert, I finally headed to the AB to enjoy one of the best concerts I’ve seen so far as a concert photographer. It was my first time seeing their preformance live, but I’ve been listening to their music since a friend recommended it after attending a Parov Stelar concert. And Caravan Palace didn’t disappoint. Their recent concert at Ancienne Belgique was an electrifying experience, with one of the best light shows on stage that I have ever seen on the stage of that venue. Each musician’s charismatic presence on stage added depth and energy to the performance, elevating the atmosphere with their dynamic musicality. The light show complemented the music perfectly, enhancing the visual spectacle and immersing the audience in the electrifying ambience. Moreover, the singer’s constant interactions with the audience created a sense of intimacy at the same time, that was rewarded with a constant appraisal from the audience, even before the first “good evening, Brussels", making everyone feel like active participants in the show. Overall, it was a night I was expecting since I first saw their name announced at AB, filled with infectious energy, captivating performances from all of the band members, each emphasizing their own unique personality, and unforgettable memories, like the lucky Anthony, who besides giving me his cookies in a moment of need, got frontwoman Zoe to kneel down and sing right in front of him.
